Em recently brought home from school a flyer for the scarecrow festival in our county.
She insisted that her teacher said it was mandatory that she go. (her teacher is a sweetheart and Em LOVES her so much she wants to do everything she says!)
$12/each and crowds galore made me cringe at the thought so I came up with a different idea.
We decided to make our own family style Scarecrow Festival for FHE.
Each family member had to come up with their own activity.
Keats chose "toss the brain in the mummy bucket." You can see the signs in the background that Em had been working on for days before our festival. They say, "Welcome, Scarecrow Festival." She made twelve of them. Each had a meticulously drawn scarecrow on them So, so cute.
Hanners did "paint the pumpkins."
Dad was the chosen winner.
Mom & Dad had "pass the pumpkin-hot potato style"
It got a bit crazy!
There were tickets, prizes & treats.
Lindz chose an art project- "Halloween mosaics"
Em did Halloween bingo with treats for markers.
It was so fun! My older kids were seriously good sports about
