What We Did On the Actual Memorial Day Holiday

Driving an hour north playing all of our travel games. Check



Visit the colorful cemeteries. Bring flowers. Check.

Brace ourselves for the huge bear hug greeting (ouch!) from Uncle Lloyd. (my dad's little brother)
Enjoy the huge spread of food at BBQ hosted graciously
every year at his house. Check.

Spend precious time with Uncle Glen and Aunt Afton. Hear all about their grandsons and their summer travel plans. Visit with all my cousins and marvel at how time flies and how the kids have grown. Check.



Talk about, miss & honor those we love and miss. Check.


Make some good memories as a family. Check.

Good times. Those are the best-with family. It's usually too hot here in AZ to get excited about going to the cemetery on Mem. Day. Great tradition..

that's a nice way to spend the holiday- your daughter in the front has a beautiful hollywood smile- did you pay good money for that or is it just a gift from God?

That sounds like such a fun day!! I love Memorial Day! Even though sometimes chaotic, there's something so peaceful and serene about visiting cemetaries - especially when they're so colorful and brightly decorated. Sounds like you had a lot of fun with the family! :)
